Introducing Refuge at SaddleCreek
Our Mission
The mission of Refuge at SaddleCreek is to provide pre-teen and teen girls navigating challenging circumstances a safe environment that prioritizes humility, teamwork, and responsibility using intentional horsemanship instruction and organic mentoring.
Our Program
Our Refuge students take riding and horsemanship lessons at SaddleCreek Stables in a dedicated lesson group. In addition to the practical aspects of riding and horse care, these girls also receive mentoring from a compassionate instructor.
-
Time spent riding and caring for horses has documented therapeutic effects, including an increased ability to identify and process feelings of anxiety.

Our Students
Refuge students can apply to the program after receiving a recommendation from their school counselor and an in-person interview. Students are required to maintain a passing GPA and attend school regularly to continue with weekly lessons.
To protect the privacy of our students, we don’t share personal details on our website. If you’d like to learn more about how the program has impacted our students, subscribe to our email list or contact Hannah directly.
During Hannah’s early ministry career, she managed a youth-focused after-school ministry while running her family-owned horse stable. While helping teens navigate their day-to-day challenges, she saw first-hand how time spent with horses positively impacted them. Hannah, alongside her Board of Directors, launched a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to help bring these therapeutic benefits to youth and teens in our community.
Our Story
Support our students
Refuge students are funded by monthly donors who cover the cost of their personalized programs. These recurring monthly donations make our program possible.
We also gladly accept one-time donations to help pay for any riding equipment the girls may need, including boots, helmets, winter coats, and other gear.
Recurring and one-time donations can be made online or via check.
